During pregnancy your body goes through lots of changes. You might start to feel a little overwhelmed about what exercises you can / should be doing. Perhaps you are feeling a little disconnected from your body. It’s very common to feel like this, but you don’t have to. Be:Poised Pilates founder Gina has a wealth of in-depth training and experience in working with pregnant and postnatal clients. She has received training from incredible leaders in the world of pregnancy and postnatal exercise and she is passionate about helping women feel empowered and confident in their abilities. Working with us during your pregnancy we will help you adapt according to your body, ease aches, move well, and feel capable through each stage.

Pilates for Pregnancy Mat Class

Our Pilates for Pregnancy Mat class is specially designed to help support you throughout your pregnancy. We draw inspiration from the Pilates mat work and adaptations from across the entire Pilates system to create mat classes that will help support your changing body throughout pregnancy and prepare you for the postnatal period to come.

Classes vary based upon the needs of the participants within the class. We always work on the mat and may sometimes bring in additional small equipment such as the Pilates Arc / Step Barrel, Swiss Ball, resistance bands, weighted balls and more.

Private Sessions

The Pilates apparatus system is wonderful to work on during pregnancy. Apparatus such as the Reformer, Tower and Wunda Chair allow you to work in ways that mat work alone cannot always access; giving you support, feedback and a sense of challenge.

We welcome pregnant client to work with us in the apparatus studio. This can be via group classes (see below) or you may prefer to arrange private sessions. You can book private sessions on a 1:1 basis, or even buddy up with a friend/s for private duet or trio sessions.

Group Apparatus Classes

The Pilates apparatus system is wonderful to work on during pregnancy. Apparatus such as the Reformer, Tower and Wunda Chair allow you to work in ways that matwork alone cannot always access; giving you support, feedback and a sense of challenge.

Due to the tailored approach of our group apparatus classes at Be:Poised Pilates, and the wonderful versatility the studio apparatus offers, we welcome pregnancy clients into our group apparatus classes throughout your pregnancy. We are planning to add a pregnancy specific group apparatus class to our. timetable very soon.
